2015 APCUG conference

2015 APCUG International Computer & Digital Technology Conference

September 25-27, 2015

Palace Station Hotel & Casino

Las Vegas, Nevada

Whether you are a computer or mobile device user, you will find sessions that will be beneficial to you. It doesn't matter whether you are using a Windows-based, Linux, and/or Mac computer or an Android or Apple mobile device, many programs and applications have cross-platform functionality: there will be something that piques your interest. Or interests you – this was just a different wording instead of piques – someone needed to make a decision on which one to use.

Workshops include: Digital Photography, Microsoft's Windows Server, “iPad instead of a PC,” Facebook, Instagram, Linux, Internet Security, Social media, “Traveling with your iPad,” plus many more.

Your registration fee allows you to choose from the 20 or more presentations. As an attendee, you will receive a welcome bag with vendor items, various discounts and special pricing order forms. Additionally, you will be eligible to win door prizes. Several meal events are planned where you can network with other attendees.

February SCUG meeting information

The February meeting will fall on Saturday the 14th at the usual time (1 PM) and place (Whiteside County Senior Center, Sterling, IL). Valentines are not necessary but would be accepted. The program for February will be "Basic File Management" presented by Terry MacLennan. We hope the weather will be as nice as it was for the January meeting.

Membership renewal time!

It's time to renew your SCUG membership for 2015. Treasurer Ken Hughes will accept your dues payment (payment by check is easier for Ken) at the February meeting.  If you can't make the meetings, you can mail your dues to the club at:

Sauk Computer User Group
P.O. Box 215
Sterling, IL 61081

The dues for one year are $20 for individuals and $26 for a family membership.

The Sauk Computer User Group is beginning construction of a new website and would like input from members. Please tell us what you would like to see on a new website by e-mail to Will at wstuder@lgusa.net
